Four-star LB Kenneth Simon II commits to Alabama football over Tennessee
Simon is Alabama’s first 2027 linebacker commitment and chose the Crimson Tide over Tennessee, Georgia and Ole Miss after three unofficial visits.
On Monday, Kenneth Simon II, a four-star linebacker from Brentwood, Tennessee, committed to the University of Alabama, choosing the Crimson Tide over Tennessee, Georgia, and Ole Miss.
Stability under head coach Kalen DeBoer's seven-year contract influenced Simon's choice, with the linebacker also citing his growing relationship with Alabama linebackers coach Chuck Morrell.
Although his father, Kevin Simon, was a two-time All-SEC linebacker at Tennessee and an NFL draft pick, Simon stated, "My dad just wants to see me go do what's the best for me."
Ranked as the No. 10 linebacker nationally, the 6-foot-3, 210-pound prospect recorded eight tackles-for-loss and 4.5 sacks at Brentwood Academy, joining a seven-member 2027 Alabama recruiting class.
Simon becomes the first Tennessee player to commit to Alabama since wide receiver Amari Jefferson in 2024, strengthening the Crimson Tide's defense before the season kicks off in 117 days against East Carolina.
