AI-generated news sites: “Libération” and forty press titles take legal action

Some forty national and regional press titles are calling for the blocking of a news site using AI to reproduce their articles, considering that it infringes their copyright and related rights.

Publishing more than 6,000 articles per day without producing any content: this is the “feat” achieved by the “News DayFR” site. Faced with the massive theft of their productions, some forty titles, including “Libération”, are initiating proceedings.
