- Terry Hanratty, who led the University of Notre Dame to the 1966 National Championship, has been named to the 2025 College Football Hall of Fame Class, as announced by the National Football Foundation.
- Hanratty becomes the 56th former Fighting Irish student-athlete or coach in the Hall of Fame, the most for any college football program.
- He threw for over 1,200 yards in each of his three seasons and held program records for completions, passing yards, and touchdowns upon graduation.
- The official induction will take place during the 67th NFF Annual Awards Dinner in Las Vegas on Dec. 9, 2025.
