The citizens of Potsdam have to decide on their new head of the city in a final election. On Sunday, single applicants Noosha Aubel and SPD candidate Fischer came to the most votes.

In the mayoral election in Potsdam, 79,246 of 142,889 eligible voters cast their votes. Voter turnout was 55.5 percent, 2.5 percentage points higher than in the last mayoral election. After all votes were counted, Noosha Aubel received 26,839 votes, corresponding to 34.0 percent. Dr. Severin Fischer received 13,390 votes, corresponding to 16.9 percent.
