Former Hattiesburg attorney given life sentence for sexually abusing child

A former Hattiesburg attorney will spend the rest of his life behind bars for sexually abusing a child. A Forrest County grand jury found Brandon Brooks, 48, guilty of sexual battery of a child under the age of 14. Court records revealed that Brooks began abusing the victim when the child was 9 years old.
