Turner-Bradshaw’s 2 TDs Rally Marshall over Middle Tennessee 28-26
Xayvion Turner-Bradshaw scored twice as Marshall overcame a 20-14 fourth-quarter deficit, and Middle Tennessee missed a tying two-point conversion.
On Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026, Marshall rallied past Middle Tennessee 28-26 at Joan C. Edwards Stadium in Huntington, West Virginia, securing a home victory in Week 2 college football.
Middle Tennessee led 20-14 entering the fourth quarter, fueled by Roman Gagliano's 11-yard touchdown pass to Cam Lacy and a fumble recovery touchdown by Kalen Woods. The Blue Raiders controlled most of the game before Marshall's late surge.
Xavier Turner-Bradshaw caught a 69-yard touchdown pass from Carlos Del Rio-Wilson and recovered a teammate's fumble for a score. Gagliano finished with 243 passing yards and two touchdowns for Middle Tennessee despite the loss.
TJ Lester extended Marshall's lead to 28-20 with a 2-yard run with 4:18 remaining. Gagliano's 15-yard touchdown pass to AJ Jones brought Middle Tennessee within two points, but the Blue Raiders failed the two-point conversion with 50 seconds left.
Marshall visits Missouri State next Saturday, Sept. 19, while Middle Tennessee hosts Nevada on the same day at 6 p.m. CT. The Blue Raiders fell to 1-1 after the loss and seek to rebound.
