FM 3053 reopens after 10-acre grass fire contained in Gregg County

Kilgore FD said the fire involved hay bales at 1488 FM 3053.

FM 3053 closed as firefighters battle grass fire

GREGG COUNTY – Our news partners at KETK report that the Kilgore Fire Department and Gregg County Emergency Services District 2 are currently responding to a grass fire burning a pasture off of FM 3053. Firefighters are currently at the scene of the fire where several hay bales have been burned in a pasture in the 1400 block of FM 3053. The road was closed at around 4 p.m. on Sunday and Kilgore Fire Department asked drivers to avoid the area.
