Florida State RB Ousmane Kromah carted off field at Miami, his left leg placed in air cast
Kromah was carted off after a 10-yard carry and had an air cast placed on his left leg, with further evaluation pending.
On Saturday, Florida State running back Ousmane Kromah suffered a left leg injury against Miami during the first half and was carted off the field with an air cast applied to his leg.
Already shorthanded, the Florida State backfield entered the game missing key depth after running back Samuel Singleton Jr. was injured during the Alabama game on Sept. 19, and Germari Sands departed the program earlier this month.
Before exiting the contest, Kromah recorded 14 carries for 44 yards, averaging 3.1 yards per attempt, and surpassed the 1,000-yard mark for his Florida State career on Saturday night.
Quarterback Ashton Daniels honored his injured teammate by holding up a 32 with his fingers after scoring a 2-yard touchdown, while the entire Seminoles sideline gathered around the cart to console Kromah.
With Kromah sidelined for the foreseeable future, Florida State must now rely on remaining healthy running backs Quintrevion Wisner, Amari Thomas, Zay Parks, and Gavin Markey to lead the rushing attack.
