In Senegal, 3 people died and 2 were injured when a wall of a house and a hangar in Matam collapsed in Dakar during the last 48 hours of effective heavy rains. Rainfall in some spots exceeded 100 millimeters per square meter and the intervention was ongoing, the ministry reported.
As a result of the heavy rains in Dakar, several flood spots were reported, including Unit 3, Deggo, Unit 11, Unit 24, Unit 7 of the Assainies Park, Terme Nord, Castors, Cité des Eaux and at the level of the Philippe Maguilene Senghor Health Centre.
