In a guest contribution to the NZZ, the radio pioneer sharply criticizes the end of 2024 of the VHF shutdown by the SRG. He describes it as "probably the largest customer displacement of Swiss media history".
January 2031 is too early to stop radio broadcasting on the FM band. That is according to Flemish Minister of Media Cieltje Van Achter (N-VA). The target date of 2031 for the FM switch-off came after a study. But Van Achter does not want listeners to be left behind in the digitalisation of the radio landscape.
