Five shot with non-life-threatening wounds on Connecticut Ave., MPD detains suspect

Five people were shot with non-life-threatening injuries on the 1200 Block of Connecticut Avenue Friday night, police said.  Metropolitan Police Department Assistant Chief Ramey Kyle said officers apprehended a suspect and recovered a firearm after arriving on scene. He said there was a dispute that “spilled into the street.”  The 1200 Block of Connecticut Avenue includes popular bars among GW students, including Decades DC and The Mayflower DC.…
