[Kadena] At around 1:30 p.m. on the 10th, five F-22 stealth fighter jets temporarily deployed at Kadena Air Base were observed performing a "hot pit" refueling operation, which involves refueling without shutting down the engines, using the former naval airfield. The Japan-U.S. agreement does not permit operations that generate noise, such as engine operation, at the former airfield.
