Rail Link Between London and Edinburgh Extended to Glasgow

- Lumo launched an all‑electric Glasgow–London service, with the inaugural train departing Glasgow Queen Street at 6:16pm and tickets from £33.10 b, arriving one minute early into London King’s Cross.
- Operating on an open‑access basis, Lumo sets its own fares without taxpayer subsidies and aims to offer a sustainable, affordable alternative to driving or flying that boosts connectivity and economic growth.
- Weekdays, Lumo will run two northbound services and one southbound service, with the Glasgow–London journey taking less than five and a half hours and stops including Falkirk High, Edinburgh Haymarket, Morpeth, Newcastle and Stevenage.
