On the third Sunday of Advent, ÖBB announced a record start with heavy load on the new Koralmbahn between Graz and Klagenfurt. Sunday was the first official operating day after special rides were offered on Friday at the ceremony. Around 10,000 passengers had booked tickets for Sunday, and on the first day, according to ÖBB, around 30 trains with up to 230 km/h were on the new route.
