High Bridge Trail State Park (DCR Virginia) RICHMOND — The Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation is encouraging residents to put their "best foot forward" and join the nationwide First Day Hikes initiative on New Year’s Day.  As part of the annual tradition led by America’s State Parks, parking is free at all Virginia State Park locations on Jan. 1.
