The mayor of Stará Ľubovňa, Ľuboš Tomko, declared a state of emergency in connection with a nighttime fire that hit family homes in the Podsadek part of the Roma settlement on Sunday. The mayor and the Stará Ľubovňa District Office (DOU) reported that 42 local residents were left homeless. Tomko said on social media that they were addressing the situation immediately and providing the necessary assistance.
