Finland summons Russian ambassador over Leipzig drone case
Finland has summoned Russia’s ambassador in Helsinki after Germany accused Moscow of involvement in an attempted drone attack at Leipzig-Halle airport, as an investigation into two suspects produced links to Finnish authorities’ records. Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen said Finland supported German efforts to increase pressure on Russia over the case. Several other EU states have also summoned Russian diplomats.
The Russian embassy rejects allegations of Russian involvement in the incident with an explosive-laden drone at the airport in Leipzig/Halle, Germany, on August 4. This after the Foreign Ministry summoned the ambassador on Tuesday.
"The information available to our services clearly indicates Russian involvement," Dobrint said.
