Ferrari takes supercar tech to sea with self-powered Hypersail racing boat

Ferrari Hypersail’s new energy system is built for complete self-sufficiency during ocean racing. The 100-foot foiling monohull uses solar panels, wind turbines, crew-generated energy and high-voltage batteries to manage sails, foils and onboard controls.

Energy system to redefine ocean passage

The foiling 100-foot monohull, known as the Ferrari Hypersail project, intends to torch offshore sailing records when it is completed.
