Fernando Alexandre points out the early access to social networks and the use of 'smartphones' as one of the main factors for the eight results of Portuguese students in the highest international evaluation worsen for the third year and fall back to 2006 levels.
The Minister of Education today considered that the degradation of Portuguese students' learning, confirmed in the last edition of PISA, reflects the negative impacts of social networks, but also the devaluation of external evaluation by previous governments.
Portuguese students had the worst academic performances ever in the reading test of the international PISA program.
