- The Felker wildfire south of Williams Lake remains out of control as of Saturday, July 25, spanning 2,300 hectares with 44 BC Wildfire Service personnel and aviation resources actively responding.
- Since the blaze was reported on July 23, crews have worked around the clock, with Madison Dahl, fire information officer for the Cariboo Fire Centre, confirming air tankers and skimmers established retardant lines to slow fire spread.
- The Cariboo Regional District currently has two evacuation alerts and one evacuation order in place, while Dahl urged residents to keep Enterprise Road clear for emergency personnel and livestock relocation.
- Motorists should monitor DriveBC for updates on Highway 97, as non-essential road use can delay critical operations and increase risks for both residents and emergency responders.
- Cooler temperatures are expected Sunday, July 26, with lightning risks remaining in the Quesnel and Horsefly areas, before warmer and drier conditions return Monday, July 27.
