Fatbeam Fiber Wins Federal Way School District Bid, Strengthening Local Footprint
The company will build a district-wide network for Federal Way Public Schools and resume residential fiber expansion in the city, officials said.
On Friday, Federal Way Public Schools selected Fatbeam Fiber through a competitive bid process to deliver a dedicated, district-wide fiber network connecting administrative facilities and school sites.
Headquartered in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, Fatbeam brings more than 15 years of experience supporting K-12 education, positioning the company to deliver transparent, cost-effective infrastructure for the District's modernization goals.
The network will support modern educational demands with scalable, resilient architecture aligned to the District's evolving technology needs, leveraging Fatbeam's dark fiber infrastructure for consistent, high-capacity connectivity.
In parallel, Fatbeam plans to resume expanding residential fiber internet service in Federal Way, aligning with the company's strategy to deliver connectivity directly to homes throughout the city.
The selection strengthens Fatbeam's presence across the Western United States, solidifying its role as a trusted fiber partner for educational institutions while reinforcing commitment to community-focused infrastructure.
