Farmers fighting bushfires on NSW properties allowed to drive unregistered vehicles under new trial

Summary by Ground News
NSW Rural Fire Service (RFS) Commissioner Rob Rogers said the trial was an opportunity for the service to team up with private landholders. The trial is subject to a series of guidelines but is designed to incentivise farming communities to have appropriate firefighting equipment on hand. Under the Farm Fire Fighting Vehicle Trial, farmers need to nominate a vehicle that meets the guidelines.
