Family survives after their vehicle was sandwiched between two semis in pileup

The Washington County Sheriff's Office reported a 57-year-old motorcyclist died in an initial crash that stalled traffic; a southbound semitruck driver failed to notice the congestion and slammed into multiple vehicles.
Following the crash, Alex Thill's sister Savannah, her husband Christian, and their 3-year-old daughter were rushed to the intensive care unit with severe injuries, including Christian's "many, many broken bones and, on top of that, a crushed nose."
Thill credited paramedics and divine intervention for the family's survival, stating "There's no way that someone, especially a 3-year-old, could survive a significant crash like that, but thankfully, by the grace of God and paramedics' help, they 100 percent did."
