Family pay tribute to 'true gentleman' police officer killed in line of duty
PC Bradley Corke, 27, died two days after a collision while responding to an emergency; his colleague remains critically ill and a public member seriously injured, police said.
- On Saturday, March 21, Kent Police officer PC Bradley Corke, 27, died following a collision on the A20 London Road in Farningham that occurred two days earlier on Thursday, March 19.
- The incident involved a marked Ford Focus police car and a VW Scirocco colliding at the junction with Button Street at approximately 7.45pm. Corke and a colleague were responding to an "immediate" call when the crash occurred.
- Tributes describe Corke as "one of the finest young men ever to have walked this earth" and a "true gentleman." Kent Police stated he "selflessly gave up his life while trying to save others."
