Exercise to test response to offshore energy threat involving vessels and drones
Around 70 industry personnel will test responses to vessel, drone and cyber threats in a desktop drill, officials said.
- The offshore energy industry will hold "Exercise Granite Resolve" in Aberdeen this week, with around 70 personnel from Police Scotland and the Department for Energy Security testing responses to simulated threats including suspicious vessels, drones, and cyberattacks.

- Mark Wilson, OEUK energy operations director, said the industry has long had "robust" arrangements and will test these structures at multiple levels, including offshore emergency response and crisis management teams.
- The industry conference takes place in Aberdeen on Wednesday, where Wilson stated that if staff observe anything unusual, they have reporting mechanisms in place to alert relevant government agencies.
