The Board of Directors of the Greek Teachers' Union (DOE) strongly condemns the beating of the kindergarten teacher at the 1st Kindergarten of Ano Liosion and wishes her a speedy recovery. Physical violence, threats and self-righteousness against teachers are absolutely unacceptable. No incident or disagreement can justify such an attack, which affects the safety of employees and injures the entire school community.
The Regional Director of Education of Attica, Dionysis Anastasopoulos, is requesting a criminal investigation and prosecution, invoking articles 333 and 184 of the Criminal Code – The focus is on the attributed statement about the teacher's hair "in the cement".
