Scientists found a rare tomb at the age of 2300 with a well - preserved skeleton and knife.
Archaeological excavations at the 8,000-year-old ancient city of Hattusha in the Boğazkale district of Çorum have unearthed new tombs approximately 2,300 years old. The head of the excavation, Prof. Dr. Andreas Schachner, stated, "We have found the best of these tombs to date. The unique feature of these tombs is that they are surrounded by a stone wall in a circular shape. In this newly discovered tomb, the circle is very well preserved."

Three new stone sarcophagus tombs dating back to the 4th century BC have been discovered during excavations at the ancient city of Hattusha in Çorum. A knife found on the shoulder of a skeleton in one of the tombs, which is remarkably well-preserved, will shed light on little-known aspects of the region's history.
During excavations led by Prof. Dr. Andreas Schachner at the ancient city of Hattusha in Boğazkale district of Çorum, a UNESCO World Heritage site, three new tombs dating back 2,300 years to the Early Hellenistic and Galatian periods were discovered. In one of the well-preserved stone sarcophagi, a knife was found on the right shoulder of a complete skeleton.
