Samsung launched the Galaxy S26 series featuring a first-of-its-kind Privacy Display, AI integrations, and Galaxy Buds 4 with improved audio and gesture controls, available March 11.
- On Wednesday, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S26 lineup and Galaxy Buds 4, opening pre-orders and saying they'll be available on March 11.
- Samsung ran Unpacked on Wednesday to get ahead of Mobile World Congress rival announcements, presenting the Galaxy S26 lineup as an iterative update while giving Galaxy Buds 4 and Buds 4 Pro a proper refresh.
- The Galaxy S26 Ultra features a 6.9-inch AMOLED display, a 5,000 mAh battery, and retains the 50MP ultrawide and 200MP wide sensors, with upgraded camera apertures and software enhancements.
- The new pricing raises the Galaxy S26 and S26+ entry points, starting at $900 and $1,100, affecting buyers planning upgrades; Galaxy S26 Ultra remains at $1,300, and earbuds are $180 and $250, with the Pro model featuring a 20 percent larger woofer, Samsung said.
- Samsung added Perplexity to Galaxy AI with a `Hey Plex` wake phrase and embedded it in Samsung Browser, while the Google Gemini app will soon launch and Qualcomm chips power S26 devices in North America, China, and Japan.
