- Minimal fire growth over the past 24 hours helped officials manage risk, with the blaze reaching 67,722 hectares—an increase of just 15 hectares since Sunday. Cooler temperatures and high humidity overnight on Aug. 23-24 contributed to lower fire behavior.
- Crews continue suppression efforts, including mopping up near the Anderson Creek drainage in the Fraser Canyon and removing structure protection equipment. Heavy equipment and aviation support control line efforts near Highway 8.
- Highway 1 remains closed from Toll Road near Yale to Aspen Road south of Boston Bar. Despite the fire's proximity, Highways 5 and 8 remain open to all traffic.
- Residents can verify property statuses through the Thompson-Nicola Regional District Emergency Operations Centre Dashboard. Some 283 properties in the TNRD remain on evacuation alert, and approximately 58 in the Coldwater Road and Patchett Road area stay on evacuation order.
