At least 15 European flights were the subject of bomb alerts on Thursday 5 November, and several aircraft were escorted by fighter aircraft while two flights were stolen, according to the authorities and airlines. European Transport Commissioner Apostolos Tzitzikostas claimed that it was still "too early" to say whether the bomb alerts disrupt European air traffic were linked. At least 18 passenger planes flying between European cities received bomb threats on Thursday, the second such incident this week, after at least seven flights were threatened on Tuesday.
At least 15 passenger planes in Europe received explosion threats on November 5. Some of the flights were rerouted, and some of the liners were escorted by military fighters.
