Euro zone companies are bracing for higher wage demands from their workers after a surge in the cost of living caused by the Iran war, a European Central Bank survey showed today.
This is one of the main findings of the recent research conducted by the ECB (European Central Bank) with representatives of 64 large non-financial companies in the euro area, published today.
Four in 10 of the largest euro area companies predict that the increase in inflation will cause, or is at risk of causing, demands for higher wage increases, compared to 20% in the previous ECB survey.
