EU Unveils New Push Against Drug Trafficking
European Union ministers on June 4 approved a new framework to implement the bloc’s anti-drug strategy, stepping up efforts to combat drug trafficking and organized crime across Europe. The interior ministers of the EU member states approved on Thursday in Luxembourg a framework for the implementation of the drugs strategy, in which Croatia is achieving serious results, said Minister Davor Božinović. The Home Affairs Council also supported the new EU action plan to combat drug trafficking and concrete measures to implement key priorities aimed at reducing drug use and drug-related harm.
