Even after 2035, new burners could still be approved – it was said from Strasbourg. However, corporate fleets in Germany are supposed to become almost climate neutral for this purpose.
The EU effectively reverses the combustion process: this gives the car industry room for manoeuvre, but creates ambiguities for consumers and the climate.
