It must become the continent's largest airport... The African Development Bank (ADB) and the national airline Ethiopian Airlines have signed a letter of intent to develop a new international airport in Ethiopia. With this megaproject, the country affirms its ambitions in air transport.
The Ethiopian Airlines airline has announced its new direct flight that will link Madrid and Addis Ababa and vice versa from July 2, 2025. Two objectives of the company are thus achieved: the expected direct flight from Madrid to the Ethiopian capital and the incorporation of a new destination in Europe (Porto) to those already existing.
