Equatorial Guinea in Talks to Take U.S.-Deported Migrants

Vice President Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue confirmed on X that the U.S. proposed deporting African migrants to the country, though no final agreement was reached.

According to Equatorial Guinea's Vice-President Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue, "nothing has been achieved" yet, but "there can be an agreement".

The US administration is intensifying its efforts to deport what it calls illegal immigrants from the United States, by negotiating with Equatorial Guinea to receive these deportees.
