The North Sea Canal Area Environment Service is halting a major new construction project in the Bijlmer in Amsterdam because far too much noise is being made during construction. As of next Monday, work will no longer be allowed. According to the environment department, the noise is unacceptable, because there are many homes in the neighborhood.
