According to the latest data from the National Institute of Statistics of Rwanda (NISR), inflation in Rwanda reached 14.5% in July 202. NSIR indicates that this inflation is driven by rising prices for transport, housing, food and energy. The public statistical manager in Rwanda reports that "the urban consumer price index (CPI), used as the main reference for monetary policy, has increased by 0.9% on a monthly basis".
