A truck driver, Gajendra alias Akku Rawat, who allegedly ran over and killed a station house officer in Madhya Pradesh, was seriously injured in a police encounter on Tuesday night. Rawat was detained in Alirajpur district and attempted to escape custody by snatching a revolver and firing at policemen, leading to retaliatory action.
Gajendra, alias Akku, the driver who ran over TI Dilip Puri with a truck in Dewas, has been arrested. He was shot in the leg during a brief encounter while trying to escape and attack with a weapon.
