UNITED STATES, JUL 15 – Larry Ellison's net worth rose $4.7 billion in one day as Oracle's AI-driven stock surged, placing him just ahead of Mark Zuckerberg with $251 billion, Bloomberg reports.
- On July 16, 2025, Bloomberg Billionaires Index showed Larry Ellison surpassed Mark Zuckerberg, reaching a net worth of US$251.2 billion.
- Following ChatGPT’s launch, shares have surged 90% since April 2025, Bloomberg reported, while Oracle’s stock jumped 5.7% on July 15 when US export rules eased.
- Yesterday, Oracle announced a $3 billion AI infrastructure investment in Germany and the Netherlands, and secured tens of billions in cloud and data centre deals with OpenAI.
- Following Ellison’s leap, Elon Musk remains the richest with US$357.8 billion, while Zuckerberg fell to third on the Bloomberg index.
