Eight-year-old shows his love for the Blue Jays with custom prosthetic eye

On Oct. 18, 2025, eight-year-old Logan Dorna showed his support for the Toronto Blue Jays with a prosthetic eye featuring the team’s logo, which he requested weeks earlier.
Logan's medical history shows his left eye was removed at Hospital for Sick Children, Toronto after a retinoblastoma diagnosis at six months, and he now attends annual SickKids checkups without chemotherapy.
Milne, the ocularist, said he hand-paints Logan's prosthetic eye, which moves with his seeing eye, and replaces them about every two years.
Wearing the Blue Jays eye has Dorna and Serge Dorna hope it inspires other children with differences to feel proud and confident, as they said, `We want him to always feel confident and not ashamed of who he is because it's part of his identity.`
He also keeps an everyday prosthetic with a brown iris to match his seeing eye, while the Blue Jays decorative prosthetic top is tucked back and shown only when Logan Dorna swaps it out.
