The last few days have been Iowa’s coldest of the winter so far, with sub-zero temperatures and very bitter wind chills. Bitter Cold Hits Iowa: Schools Delayed and Frostbite Risk Rises
(Des Moines) Iowans will need an extra layer or two when heading outside this morning. The cold weather is impacting schools across southwest and west central Iowa. Most schools are starting classes two hours late because of the bitter cold.
