East Texas native Kacey Musgraves to release Spanish version of 'Uncertain, Texas'
The re-recording is Musgraves’ first fully Spanish-language track and adds Intocable’s Tejano sound to her country-and-cumbia foundation, Billboard reported.
- On Tuesday, country singer Kacey Musgraves released an entirely Spanish-language version of "Uncertain, TX," featuring Tejano group Intocable, adding a norteño-Tejano punch to the original country-cumbia foundation.
- Formed in 1993 in Zapata, Texas, Intocable rose to fame with Tejano pop hits and recently received a Hollywood Walk of Fame star, with frontman Ricardo "Ricky" Muñoz calling the collaboration a "perfect fit."
- Initially, Musgraves considered including late conjunto accordionist Flaco Jiménez, who passed in August 2025; Muñoz received the call three weeks ago, noting he was "very conservative on the accordion part."
- On Thursday, the two acts performed together for the first time at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, during a stop on Musgraves' 34-date Middle of Nowhere Tour.
- Intocable is finishing its Cultura Tour while preparing for its 16th studio album, "Nostalgia Radical," next year, which Muñoz said was inspired by his mental health journey.
