Cruise Provider Adjusts Sustainability Claims Following ACM Intervention

Cruise travel provider Captain Cruise has adjusted its sustainability claims after the Netherlands Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) called the company out on the matter. According to the regulator, the provider used unsubstantiated claims, such as ‘responsible’, ‘sustainable cruising’, or an ‘eco-friendly trip’. As a result, a cruise appears more sustainable than it actually is, according to the ACM.
