Ducks Score Three Times in Third Period for 5-3 Victory over Flames
Cutter Gauthier scored the winner in the third period, and Anaheim’s power play converted after a delay-of-game penalty to complete the comeback.
On Friday, Cutter Gauthier extended his goal streak to five games with the game-winner, leading the Anaheim Ducks to a 5-3 comeback victory over the Calgary Flames.
Anaheim goaltender Lukas Dostal was pulled after allowing three goals on 11 shots in the first period, but reliever Ville Husso stopped all 10 shots he faced to stabilize the comeback.
Leo Carlsson tied the game with his sixth goal early in the third period, extending his point streak to seven games, while Jackson LaCombe set a franchise record for defensemen with nine consecutive games recording points.
William Stromgren, Joel Hanley, and Joel Farabee scored for Calgary, but the loss ended the Flames' five-game home winning streak as goaltender Dustin Wolf fell to 3-5-1.
The Ducks host the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday, while the Flames will entertain the Philadelphia Flyers, extending both teams' schedules after Friday's matchup.
