Driver in hit-and-run that killed woman in Foley says he thought he hit a deer

A 30-year-old woman is dead and a 42-year-old man in jail after a hit-and-run incident in Foley Thursday night.Foley police said Friday officers responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle about 8:30 p.m. Thursday near the intersection of County Road 65 and Airport Road. The vehicle involved had fled the scene.
