DRC: 30 Confirmed Cases of Mpox at Ndolo Prison in Kinshasa

In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the mpox epidemic is in slow decline, according to the National Institute of Public Health. According to the latest compiled figures, the country recorded 182 new confirmed cases last week, bringing to 21,452 the total number of confirmed cases since 1 January 2024. A majority of these cases have occurred in the capital Kinshasa, which alone registers 88 new cases in a week, many of which are in prison.
