The borders of the Schengen area seem to remain closed longer than planned. The Federal Minister of the Interior has announced an extension of the controls – for the fourth time since 2024.
"Developments at the European external borders show that repressing illegal migration continues to require controls," said Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt.
