At the age of 12, Mehdi Faveris-Essadi delights in the records of his father, a fan of soul, rock and disco, and, through his Tunisian mother and family, immersed himself in oriental music. As a true geek, he was already composing in his room on a sampler that he tinkered with himself, when he met his accomplice Kery James.
