Distinguished Researcher Elected to National Academy of Engineering
Bruce Gnade was elected to the National Academy of Engineering for his leadership in electronic materials and semiconductor device technologies among 158 new members.
- On Feb. 13, Dr. Bruce E. Gnade, professor emeritus at UT Dallas, was elected to the National Academy of Engineering, announced from Richardson, Texas.
- The NAE cited contributions to semiconductor device technologies and named him for advancing electronic materials, recognizing outstanding contributions to engineering research, practice and education.
- Earlier in his career, Gnade is a member of the Class of 2026, which includes 28 international members, and is a fellow of the American Physical Society, IEEE and the National Academy of Inventors.
- The NAE will induct new members at its fall meeting, and `This honor is a powerful affirmation of Bruce's extraordinary leadership, vision and impact on engineering, particularly in the field of flexible electronics`, said Moghe.
- At the North Texas Semiconductor Institute, Gnade leads workforce initiatives educating high school and college students, and UT Dallas said the election highlights its opportunity to help the North Texas semiconductor industry thrive.
