In Saxony and Thuringia, hundreds of firefighters fight against forest fires. In many other parts of Germany, the danger of fire is also high. "There is no warning," explains editor Paul Klinzing.
In eastern Germany, forest fires keep forces in motion. On the border between Saxony and Brandenburg, there is a fire on an earlier troop training ground. In Thuringia, a district has declared the disaster.
At least 200 hectares of forest burn in the border area of Saxony and Brandenburg. The disaster alarm was triggered in three municipalities, several places were evacuated.
